Sick? One tap — affected shifts go to handover automatically.
In PlanFast, sick leave is deliberately separated from regular absences:
Short-notice, urgent. No approval request — you just report sick. Effective immediately, affected shifts go to handover automatically.
Planned (vacation, appointments). Request with approval step. Shifts get reassigned by the admin.
In the menu or on the dashboard. The first time, the app shows a hint via showcase.
From when until when you're sick. If you don't know yet, you can extend later.
Confirmation: "You reported yourself sick from <startDate> to <endDate>."
Once your sick leave is submitted, the handover mechanism runs:
All shifts in your sick range that are assigned to you are found.
These shifts are marked for handover — other suitable employees can pick them up.
Push to admin and suitable employees: "An employee has reported sick." The handover requests appear on the dashboard.
Another employee picks up the shift — voluntarily or assigned by the admin manually. More details: Shift Handover.
If sickness lasts longer, you can extend the range — newly affected shifts go to handover the same way. If you're back early and don't need the sick leave, you can withdraw it.
If a colleague has already picked up one of your shifts and you end the sick leave, the shift stays with that colleague — unless the admin explicitly returns it.
Shifts that went to colleagues via sick leave do not count toward your worked hours — see Statistics. They count for the colleague who actually worked the shift.
